Nick Gold is a cellist who grew up in Alabama and currently lives in Amherst, Massachusetts. He is currently pursuing his music performance degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Nicholas recently won the Alabama and South Region string division of the United States Music Teachers National Association Competition. He represented the Southern United States at the MTNA conference held at the Colorado Convention Center.
